My lil levitating strawberry. You loved that bouncy house or "bumpy house" as you call it.
Harvest Carnival at church, you and your daddy were workin' those games.

Oh the fun a basket full of clean laundry can be!
Stopped for a quick "just mommy and logan" treat after school.

I just love this street where we park to pick up Logan after school. The colors of the leaves just make me swoon! So we took a moment to run in the middle of the street today, cause, I mean, come on!
You and Diego are a hoot and a half. Something about being wild and silly with a good friend, just can't be beat.

You and Lane riding tandem. You two are so fun to watch, the way you talk to each other and interact. It's just precious.
A lil after dark fun with a flashlight. It's so fun sharing something I love with you.

I absolutely love it when I find you sitting down with a book all on your own.
Under the table, where all the fun happens.

282/365

When your daddy is laying on the floor, it's only a matter of time before you pounce on top and snuggle/tickle each other. It's the best.
Today we went to see the Reptile Man, and what a treat.  Even though you didn't get picked as a volunteer during his demonstration, afterwards he let you hold all sorts of cool critters. Alligators, crocodiles lizards, and snakes. You wanted to hold them all and weren't the least bit scared.

We rode the escalator about 40 times while we waited for Daddy at the mall. For you it was as thrilling as a roller coaster. For me it may not have been thrilling but certainly one of the cheaper ways to entertain you, so I didn't mind.
I spy with my lil' eye, your lil eye.

My lil pumpkin painter.
It's amazing how fun a big open space can be. Zoom, You're off!

You loved walking through the puddles in your rubber boots. When we go to a muddy road you kept saying "Yuck! Yucky! Yuck!"
The rain has arrived. Just in time for your class's field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. But it didn't stop you, one bit. You led the way through the corn maze and even though we were the last group out, I'm pretty sure we were the only ones to find this hay mountain.

 My lil' water baby.
You made the most impressive tower. It look just like the Disney castle. You applied rules on yourself, saying you had to use every single piece and it had to be symmetrical. And you did it. And didn't even throw a fit when your sister knocked it over later.

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Livin' might mean takin' chances, but they're worth takin'
Lovin' might be a mistake, but it's worth makin'
Don't let some Hellbent heart leave you bitter
When you come close to sellin' out, reconsider
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
- Lee Ann Womack

As over played as this song is, it still strikes a chord in my heart when I look at these pictures and when I think of you two. Your dad said today, "One day they'll try to fly and you just hope you made their wings strong enough."

If you give a toddler deodorant, she's going to want to put it all over both arms and say "It's so soft! It's good!"
Learn, learn, learn my boy. Work those brain muscles!

274/365

A big pile of laundry on the bed is so very inviting to a freshly washed lil naked child.
Oh the epicness that was this moment. We were driving home from school, a normal bit of mundane when I spotted the huge flock of grazing geese in the field across the street. I said "Logan! Look at all those birds! oh man, we should go run through them! Wanna go??" and you of course answered "YES!" and so we did. We drove the car as close as we dared, shut the doors quietly, crept up on them and when they started to notice us, we ran straight at them and up, up, up they went. I was laughing and running and then stopped to get pictures as the whole group of hundreds of geese took flight and honked and honked as you ran below them. The sun was shining and the site was spectacular. It was such a fun moment. We watched them circle around and fly in and out of V formations and honk and honk some more until we decided we should get out of the way so they could land and return to eating and resting in peace. Oh what a simple thrill it was. I'm so glad we got to share this beautiful, wild and precious moment.

273/365

You came running out of your room proudly exclaiming "I did it! like you does! Three! Three!"
Your good buddy has returned from a long trip out of the country and you two had a fantastic lil play date today. So many lego creations and explosion sounds and laughs.

272/365

Your new best buddy is this lil adorable curly haired hobbit who now comes over every Tuesday. You two are a hilarious duo and it's been so very fun watching your lil friendship develop. During our walk today, you two decided to lean against the pole and squeal as loudly as possible. And well, why not?
Oh here's another big brother picture. Big brother being awesome and finding joy in the giving of joy. I mostly am happy I caught this silly lil smirk on your sisters face so that one day, when maybe you aren't feeling like such a great big brother or when you need it, you will be able to see how happy you make her. I'm so glad I get to see it.

Oh, the piano teacher's dog never ceases to entertain.
While driving to a new park you asked "Will there be trees to climb there???" Yes, yes of course.

You call toothpaste syrup. I'm a lil worried you'll tell the dentist I'm putting syrup on your toothbrush.
A special birthday lunch with Daddy complete with back massages.

269/365

We went to the Wildlife Safari today and every where we turned there were animals and exciting things to see. You were so fascinated and despite going without a nap, were a trooper the whole time.
And you good sir, were a trooper and a half. Spending almost 5 hours in a completely full minivan with 8 people + a dog, was quite the adventure and you were amazing. You are such a fun travel companion.

268/365

It's so fun to listen to you "read" a book to daddy. The words and phrases you remember from all the many times I've read it to you. Your brain is amazing.
Learning chess. You daddy said it was both awesome and agonizing to watch because strategy really didn't come into play much.

267/365

Your lil head and arms in your daddy's big hands. Your wiggly lil body twisting around to see your brother while Daddy tries to brush your teeth. This is you right now. Your independent and yet completely dependent and need to be handled but completely unhandleable. I love you. You right now. In all your toddler glory.
Oh you three. You just melt my heart left and right.

266/365

You have to be involved in everything we do. Always. Right in the middle of the yard work. Literally.
I let you spray paint a few things today. You were a bit trigger happy. It is addicting I have to admit.

265/365

Watching you play with other lil toddlers is so funny. You are usually pretty sweet and wait your turn for things and if anything you shy away from them. But today, a lil girl was going (what you thought was) the wrong way on the obstical course and just put both hands out and shoved her off. And despite both me and the mom of the poor lil girl's attempts to get you to realize what you'd done was wrong, you and her too, thankfully didn't seem to get it. These are the ways of Toddler Tuesday.
I absolutely LOVE it when I find you reading to yourself. LOVE it.

264/365

As angry as you look in this photo, you did great and were as happy as a clam when you received your "lolly top" for being good afterward.
Homework must be done before go play.  Doing it on the front steps with bike helmet on and bike ready is just fine.
