November Runner-ups

And month 11 comes to a close. It seems redundant to say that November went by fast, but really, it did. As I enter my last month of this project, I am feeling sad that it will be done but also a bit relieved. There were lots of days that it felt a bit like a chore or homework I had to get done. But as I look back each month at all the photos, I'm so so glad I've done it. I'm so glad I have these photos to remember and to treasure this year. One more month to go.

We took advantage of a beautiful day and headed out to get our tree. You two were troopers, hiking all over the hill in search of the perfect one. We found her and you even helped saw her down. Such a perfect end to November.

I got way more giggles out of you with this pig nose than answer the door wearing it when the Pizza guy came. He didn't even flinch.
When I mop the kitchen, the living room becomes a chair fort/general store.

Before tackling the 3+ hour drive back home, we stopped off at a friend's house for a quick jam session and then a lil Black Friday shopping at the used Lego store where we built our own mini figurines.

I didn't take many shots today, because I was busy in the kitchen preparing Thanksgiving dinner. It was a wonderful day though, you were both LOVING being with your cousins and aunts and uncles and of course Nana and Papa.

Carefully navigating the stairs at Nana and Papa's requires serious concentration.
Bedtime story: No shirt required. Matching jammies mandatory.

You really are too easy to photograph.
We hit up the playground after finishing your Parent/Teacher conference today. Of course your teacher said "Logan es muy inteligente!"

Your brother taught you how to climb up onto the hutch and even more impressively climb back down. You two did this circuit for a good 20 minutes, each time getting better and better at it, and beaming with pride each time.
Toilet paper packages make fantastic building material for forts.

That look you give your brother when he's being hilarious and impressing you with some new trick.

We had a crazy storm roll though during nap time today. We opened the windows and sat on the couch together waiting for the bright flashes and giant booms of thunder that followed. When the rain started DUMPING you stuck your hand out and then quickly pulled it back in because it was falling so hard it hurt.

We have been tackling the big girl potty a lot this week. You've been doing so great. As long as I can keep you happily distracted and sitting on the potty long enough, you'll go!
For once (only a handful of other times this WHOLE YEAR) you asked me to take your photo. You were making funny faces and cracking yourself up. I happily obliged. You crack me up too.

Playing with Daddy. What a fun and amazing Daddy you two have.

Snuggles and peek-a-boo with Daddy are the best.
You came home from school wanting to write. You found a paper and pencil and sat down to write a full paragraph in Spanish. Then you put it in an envelope to give to your teacher. I'm sure she'll be proud. (though not quite as proud as me)

 I'm king of the mountain!

Early release on a sunny fall day is a perfect excuse to visit the skate park. It had been a while but of course you were fearless and tackled every part like a lil pro.

Library books are good from more than just reading. They're great for creating a spiral path all around the living room.
Mommy and Daddy's bed is good for more than just sleeping too. Jumping and pillow fighting are popular uses for this multi-functional piece of furniture.

Sometimes the fun that you have is worth the mess you make.
Special sunday morning breakfast with the family with super special hot cocoa with sprinkles.

I hear laughter down the hallway and I find this. When Logan laughed, Cora's head bounced, which made Cora laugh, which made Logan laugh more and on and on it went. It was awesome.

I love and hate these gigantic car carts. You do get excited to ride in them and usually it keeps you happy for most of the shopping, but it's so darn enormous and I feel like I'm driving the semi-truck of the shopping cart world, making wide turns and needing a special lane to check out in.
Oh man, you and your daddy. So much wresting/tickling/hugging/rough housing/loving. I love it all.

Pattycake with Daddy and reading on the floor of the library. Good times.

We stopped at a park for a quick romp in the gigantic pile of leaves. You dove right in and got yourself covered. I was finding leaves in all sorts of places after that.
Snapping a candid smiling photo of you is getting harder and harder. You had just thrown a big ol' stick in the creek and it had broken into a bunch of pieces and so you spun around all proud of yourself. I snapped a shot and then put away the camera.
