F.A.Q.

Q: Are you a stay at home Mom?

A: Yes. Although I'm more like a work at home Mom because I run my own photography business as well as chase my kids around. My husband works at Costco and is the real bread winner in our family.

Q:  What kind of camera and lenses do you use?

A: I shoot with a Canon 5dmkii and the main lens I use is the 50mm f1.4. But I also use the 85mm f1.8, 24-70mm f2.8, 70-200mm f2.8, and the 100mm macro from time to time.

Q: What editing software do you use:

A: I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop (CS4). I generally don't do a lot of extensive editing to my photographs, I try my hardest to get the exposure right in camera, and then it's just color correcting and white balance type stuff afterwards.

Q: Do you really take your camera with you everywhere?

A: Well, so far yes. Granted my life isn't that exciting that I'm going out and about all that much. Mostly the days consist of taking my son to school and then maybe running an errand or two. The rest of the time I'm at home with Cora. But when I do go out, I generally will just throw my camera without a strap and with just the 50mm (because it's the smallest lens, plus one of my favorites) in Cora's diaper bag. That way, I can grab it if I see a picture and it doesn't scream "Photographer coming!!"
