12/52

You look so different with your hair wet and soapy and stuck to your head. You look older and younger all at the same time. There was a while there when you were majorly resisting bath time. I think we're coming out of it though, and you're getting MUCH  better at actually leaning your head back and letting me rinse out the soap. Each new thing you learn and mature into may seem small and yet they're enormous to me. I'm so impressed and yet also knew you could do it all along.
Bouncing, sliding, always moving boys. We went to the trampoline park to celebrate your cousin's birthday and off you two went for a full hour of non-stop movement. So very glad you two have each other. Cousins make the best friends.

I couldn't wake you. You've been having a hard time sleeping through the night lately, with a persistent cough and who knows what else waking you up at odd hours. You were supposed to get up for school but I just couldn't wake you. So I photographed you and then tipped toed out.
We've got this shed in the back yard. It is completely over grown with ivy. But your ingenious dad told you and the neighborhood boys that you could use it as your fort if you could pull the ivy off. Well off you set to uncover your new domain and you really did make quite a dent, enough to get the door open and venture inside. I came out to see what you were discovering. You lead the way and I heard you yell "Wow, a spider.... it moved! Go Go Go!!" and out you all scrambled. You regrouped and Jesse said "We need a bigger stick."

A cool new fort, a purple princess dress and a kitty. What else could a girl need?
You are such a constant flame of energy and force. Always running ahead, racing your sister, everything is a contest and you're determined to win.

You guys play a game with your daddy called "Prison Escape". He locks you into some sort of hold and you guys wiggle and try to escape. It's pretty hilarious.
What you can't see is that the cat is in the third laundry bag. Laundry is all sorted, girls, boys and cats.
